The November Man

Rated R / 1 hr 48 min / Action - Crime - Thriller

What is it about?

A retired CIA operative played by Pierce Brosnan is contacted by one of his former bosses to ask for a favor. He is asked to help extract a former contact from Russia who has evidence against a Russian presidential candidate. The contact had asked for Brosnan's character by name to help extract her. The contact has her cover blown which results in a car chase. While trying to escape the contact is shot in the head. Pierce Brosnan goes after the people who shot her to find that it was the CIA. Now he's being hunted by their best killer, a man he trained.

You will like it if...

You like smart spy thrillers or any of the James Bond movies starring Pierce Brosnan. While not as flashy as his previous Bond movies, the story has many unexpected twists and turns. All of the characters have depth and a complexity to them that makes this movie entertaining to watch. There is enough action to please those who like action movies. There are a few parts of the movie where the story can get a bit confusing, but it makes sense in the end if you think about it. Overall I really enjoyed the movie, and it's worth picking up on Redbox if you don't see it in theaters.
